The R88HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor is a workhorse manufactured by Pacific Scientific Company falling under the R series. The R series has the highest torque to inertia ratio thanks to the Samarium cobalt magnets. The R88HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 is engineered to handle high torque and power applications. It is engineered for long, maintenance-free service life. As such, little to no maintenance is required during operation. Anti-clog stator design allows low-speed performance without a fuss.
It features technical specifications such rare-earth type of magnet, H winding type, standard sequence number, and a frameless resolver, transmitter type, size 21 primary feedback. However, it lacks a holding brake option, shaft sealing, and secondary feedback. It provides high torque over wide speed range and has received global approval and agency recognition. As such, it is legal to use in most countries. Its parameters include a thermal resistance of 0.23 deg. C/Watt, a 42.2Nm continuous stall torque, 8.61kgm2x103 inertia, and 86.1Nm peak torque. It weighs just about 94.0 pounds.
