Product Description:
The R65HENA-R2-NS-VS-00 is a brushless servo motor produced by Pacific Scientific within the R Servomotors series. It delivers precise closed-loop rotation for conveyors, pick-and-place heads, and incremental positioning stages used in flexible manufacturing lines. Integrated resolver feedback sends the exact shaft angle to the drive, while the standard housing profile and English mounting format simplify installation in existing machine frames. As the prime mover, the unit supplies programmable speed and torque so downstream machines can run repeatable production cycles.
At a standstill, the motor can sustain a continuous load of 13.6 Nm, giving the axis ample low-speed force for press fits or tension control. Short bursts of up to 33.3 Nm accommodate rapid acceleration before thermal limits are reached. The motor has a high-speed winding that supports a rated velocity of 4300 rpm without compromising the voltage margin on typical 240/480 V drives. Its rotor inertia is 1.26 kg·m² × 10⁻³, balancing quick response against overshoot and helping position loops remain stable when the load reverses. This model is supplied without a factory-installed holding brake, which reduces mass and eliminates brake-release delays during cycle starts.
The motor has a 5.75-inch square frame and a 5-inch magnetic stack, providing the torque density associated with R-size actuators while maintaining a compact profile. Rotor flux is generated by rare-earth samarium-cobalt magnets, which resist demagnetization at elevated temperatures. A Viton shaft seal protects the internal bearings when the motor is installed in washdown areas or oil-mist environments. The motor uses a standard housing style and an English mounting pattern. A size-21 frameless resolver provides primary feedback, and the motor does not include a secondary transducer.
