It is suited to applications that need repeatable starts, stops, and direction changes.
This unit is a servo motor, and its continuous stall torque is 7.6 Nm, providing steady shaft force at zero speed. During acceleration, the motor can deliver up to 20.2 Nm of peak torque, which increases its dynamic range. A 4.25-inch square mounting face concentrates this output into a compact envelope, while the High Speed winding shortens electrical time constants so current rises quickly. Torque is produced by a rare earth (samarium cobalt) magnet set that keeps flux density stable at high temperature. Primary position information comes from a size-21 frameless resolver, which supplies analog sine-cosine signals for fine interpolation by the controller.
