R-Series of servo motors are manufactured by Pacific Scientific and are developed in five different frame sizes. These are specially created high-performance devices that are made using the latest advancements in motors designs; like the rare earth magnetic pole pairs as well as the superior grade components using advanced metallurgy solutions that effectively make these motors lightweight and smooth in operation.
The R46GENA-R2-NS-NV-00 is one such motor in this series that has "Samarium-cobalt" permanent-magnet based poles pairs and built on the robust mounting of English type frame with a regular design sequence number. Its Shaft is molded from high strength material and does not have the sealing rings on the housings outlet aperture. There is no electrical brake in this motor but it has complete control and coordination of moving parts by primary feedback given by the size-21 Frameless Transmitter Resolver. There is no resolver as the secondary feedback.
The dimensions of the R46GENA-R2-NS-NV-00 servo- motor are 13.5’ x 4.5’ x 4.5’ and with its width and stack length compatible to the nearest 4 inches and 6 inches respectively. Using lightweight ingredients and better design elements, the motor weighs just 21.7 pounds and yet can generate 20.2 Nm peak torque with a1700 rpm rated speed under normal conditions of the voltage of 230AC or 320V dc supply.
The compact design and the resultant ease of handling of this Pacific Scientific product makes it very easy to install. Also, as most of its parts have a sturdy design and are created using high-grade substances built for a lifetime of use, there is hardly any breakdown; and when that does happen, their on-site maintenance is very easy.
