When rapid acceleration or short bursts are needed, it reaches a peak output of 15.1 Nm before current limits intervene. The rotor’s reflected inertia is only 0.31 × 10⁻³ kg·m², so the motor responds quickly to command changes while minimizing load-matching concerns. Torque density is aided by rare-earth samarium-cobalt magnets, which supply high magnetic flux without adding bulk. The shaft end has no shaft seal, so the installation must be protected from fluid ingress where washdown or oil splash is present. Suitable guarding around the shaft opening can help prevent liquid and debris from reaching internal motor components during operation.
