Product Description:
The R43GENA-TS-SS-NV-02 is a servo motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the R Servomotors series. Designed for closed-loop motion platforms, it converts electrical power into tightly regulated shaft rotation for indexing tables, material-handling axes, and similar automation stations. A standard housing and English mounting interface allow straightforward integration with gearheads or direct-drive couplings, while the built-in Tachsyn transducer supplies real-time velocity feedback to the drive. The feedback signal allows the controller to correct speed deviations as the applied load changes.
Under continuous load, the motor can hold 3.9 Nm at stall, and it withstands transient demands up to 10.4 Nm, giving machinery adequate margin for acceleration profiles. A rated speed of 1500 rpm is the synchronous operating point where voltage, frequency, and mechanical output are balanced. Rotor inertia is 0.22 kg·m² × 10⁻³, so the drive can reverse or stop quickly without excessive overshoot. Torque is produced by magnets made of rare-earth samarium cobalt, which maintain high flux density across a broad temperature range and resist the demagnetization associated with ceramic alternatives. In addition, its standard winding resists thermal rise during extended duty cycles, supporting consistent torque delivery.
The motor has a 4.25-inch square frame and a 3-inch magnetic stack, providing a compact profile for installations with limited space. Because the unit is supplied with no brake, an external locking mechanism must hold the shaft when power-off retention is required. The motor has no shaft seal, so the shaft should be isolated from pressurized washdown areas and abrasive particulates. This configuration is intended for dry, protected machine locations.
