Product Description:
Pacific Scientific manufactures the R35JEBC-R2-NS-NV-00 servomotor within its R Servomotors series. The unit is intended for industrial automation tasks that require closed-loop control of shaft angle and velocity. It allows indexing tables, material-handling equipment, and other automated machinery to follow programmed motion profiles with high repeatability.
Under continuous stall conditions, the motor delivers 3.8 Nm of torque, and it can reach a peak output of 10.1 Nm for rapid indexing moves before approaching its thermal limits. At the rated speed of 1700 rpm, the winding provides a practical balance between voltage use and temperature rise under load. Rotor inertia is limited to 0.13 kg·m² × 10⁻³, supporting quick acceleration while helping damp minor load disturbances. The lamination stack is 5 inches long, and the motor uses a medium winding to provide steady torque without excessive copper loss. Primary feedback comes from a frameless, transmitter-type resolver in a size 21 format. This resolver sends analog position signals directly to the drive without onboard conversion electronics, and the motor does not include a secondary feedback channel.
A 3.25-inch square frame establishes the mounting interface, while the English bolt pattern supports direct attachment to gearheads or stages made for imperial hardware. Holding position when power is removed is handled by an integrated 100 V DC brake inside a style C enclosure, reducing the need for an external clamp on a vertical axis. The magnetic circuit uses rare-earth samarium-cobalt magnets, which maintain magnetic flux at elevated temperatures and support a compact motor profile. The motor has no shaft seal, so it should be installed where liquids and other contaminants cannot enter around the shaft. Appropriate guarding or enclosure protection may be required when the surrounding machinery uses coolant, lubricant, or washdown processes.
