Product Description:
The R33HMNP-R2-NS-VS-00 is a brushless AC servo motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific within the R Servomotors series. As an electromechanical actuator, it pairs with digital drives to deliver programmable torque and velocity in assembly cells, material-handling stations, and packaging machinery. Integrated primary resolver feedback, using a frameless transmitter-type size 21 resolver, supplies rotor-angle data to the control loop so the motor can hold accurate positions and perform rapid index moves without losing synchronization.
With a continuous stall torque of 2.5 Nm, the motor can hold a load at zero speed while staying within thermal limits. The compact 3.25-inch square frame with metric mounting attaches directly to machine adapters. An explosion-proof housing contains internal arcing, making the unit suitable for hazardous gas zones. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so external clamps must secure vertical loads when power is removed. A rotor inertia of 0.093 × 10−3 kg·m² supports a short mechanical time constant, and the motor can deliver 6.54 Nm of peak torque for startup or breakaway demand.
The motor reaches a maximum speed of 6000 rpm, allowing high-speed winders or light spindles to run directly from the 3-inch stack without gear reduction. A chemically resistant Viton shaft seal helps protect the front bearing from lubricant washout and airborne particulates when the motor is coupled to pumps or conveyors. The design has no secondary feedback device, so position data comes from the primary feedback device alone. Its high-speed winding lowers phase inductance and back EMF, permitting the drive to reach full rated speed on standard DC bus voltages. Magnetic flux is provided by rare-earth samarium-cobalt magnets, which resist demagnetization at elevated temperatures and support stable torque production.
