Product Description:

The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 is a Servo motor built with a square frame measuring approximately 82 mm by 82 mm. It is designed by Pacific Scientific for the regulated industrial automation applications. It provides a continuous current rating of 3.8 A to support stable performance. The continuous torque output of this servo motor is 2.4 Nm.

The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor delivers a torque constant (Kt) of around 2.4 Nm/A. The motor is capable of achieving a peak torque of up to 18 Nm. The servo motor is rated for an ambient operating temperature of 25°C. It supports a maximum voltage input of 600 V DC. The voltage constant (Ke) for this servo motor is approximately 6.7 V·s/rad. The motor features a line-to-line inductance of around 22 millihenries. Its line-to-line resistance when cold is measured at 6.9 Ohms. The thermal protection of the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor is incorporated through a built-in PTC thermistor to prevent overheating. The rotor magnet is made from samarium–cobalt. This rare-earth material is known for stability. The motor uses sealed bearings designed for a long service life. The front bearing race is locked to provide mechanical stability under load. An O-ring seal is fitted at the rear to enhance the environmental protection of the motor. The insulation system is rated under Class F standards to ensure higher temperature resistance.

The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor is designed with an anti-cogging feature for smooth and low-speed motion. It includes a fully enclosed and non-ventilated (TENV) housing style. The optional versions are available with sealed housings that meet IP65 and NEMA standards. The standard feedback is provided by an integrated resolver for accurate position feedback. The connectivity options include an MS-type standard connector for secure connections. The motor carries UL recognition and CSA certification for safety compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions about R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00:

Q: Can the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor handle regenerative braking?

A: The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor supports regenerative braking when used with drives that include braking resistors or energy return circuits. This setup enables efficient dissipation or reuse of excess energy.

Q: How does resolver feedback affect the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor resolution?

A: The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor uses a resolver with analog signals that offer up to 12–14-bit resolution. The exact value depends on the drive’s interpolation capability.

Q: What is the typical electrical time constant of the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor?

A: The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor has a time constant of approximately 3.2 ms based on its electrical properties. This affects how quickly the motor responds to current changes.

Q: How does the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor handle back-EMF during shutdown?

A: When powered down, the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor can generate back-EMF due to residual rotation. The drives should include clamping or bleeding circuits to manage voltage surges.

Q: Is the R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor compatible with vector control drives?

A: The R33GMNC-R2-NS-NV-00 servo motor supports vector control using field-oriented control (FOC). It requires drives that accept resolver-based feedback for accurate performance.
