Product Description:
Pacific Scientific manufactures the R22HMNA-R1-NS-NV-11 as part of its R Servomotors series. This compact round-frame motor is used on light-duty axes where fast acceleration and tight position control are needed for consistent automation results. By supplying controlled rotary motion to actuators, indexing tables, and miniature conveyors, it links the electrical output of a servo drive to mechanical work. The motor’s cylindrical housing eases installation in cramped enclosures, and the resolver feedback scheme lets control systems track shaft position without additional sensors, supporting synchronized multi-axis operation.
The motor delivers a continuous stall torque of 0.6 Nm, which is enough to hold static loads without overheating during prolonged dwell periods. Its external diameter measures 2.0" OD, allowing installation in legacy 50 mm mounting patterns. Low rotor inertia of 0.014 kg·m²×10⁻³ enables short acceleration times, which helps reduce cycle duration in pick-and-place equipment. When rapid indexing is required, the drive can command up to 1.62 Nm of peak torque for brief bursts. A rated mechanical speed of 8000 rpm works with the winding to support fast-moving axes that operate at elevated base frequencies.
The motor uses Rare earth (samarium cobalt) magnet rings, which sustain magnetic flux at high temperatures while keeping the motor compact. Primary position data come from a frameless resolver size 15, which eliminates coupling backlash, and no secondary feedback channel is included. Metric pilot dimensions and bolt circles align with ISO machinery plates, and the High Speed winding option reduces copper losses when the shaft runs near top speed. The motor uses a standard housing, has no shaft seal, and comes without a holding brake. If the application requires load holding at standstill, that function must be provided externally.
