The R22GMNA-NP-NS-NV-03 is a brushless servo motor produced by Pacific Scientific for the R Servomotors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion axes in packaging machines, pick-and-place stations, and other industrial automation tasks that need repeatable torque and speed control. The unit is supplied in the series standard housing style and comes without a holding brake, so static load retention must be provided by the connected drive or by external mechanical hardware. Its brushless design also supports smooth operation in repetitive duty cycles where stable torque response is important.

The electromagnetic section delivers a continuous stall torque of 0.6 Nm, allowing the motor to hold load at zero speed without overheating, while short bursts up to 1.62 Nm cover acceleration and brief load changes. At a rated speed of 5300 rpm, the shaft supports fast cycle rates, and the rotor inertia of 0.014 ×10⁻³ kg·m² helps the axis respond quickly during reversal and speed changes. Rare-earth magnets made of rare earth samarium cobalt provide a strong magnetic field that helps maintain torque density for the motor size. The winding is the standard series configuration, and the stator is prepared for metric hardware. Primary and secondary feedback devices are not installed, so systems that require position feedback must use an external encoder or another external feedback source.

Mechanically, the motor uses a compact round frame with a diameter of 2.0" OD, and the active lamination stack is only 2 inches long, which helps the unit fit into tight multi-axis assemblies. A metric mounting flange supports integration with equipment built around metric fasteners and mounting patterns. There is no shaft seal, so the installation area should be kept free of coolant, washdown spray, and other fluid ingress. The short body length and round housing are also useful where adjacent axes leave limited clearance around the motor.
