The R22GENT-TS-NS-NV-00 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific within the R Servomotors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion axes in pick-and-place tables, small conveyors, and indexing fixtures. The unit converts drive current into continuous rotary torque, allowing precise speed and position control inside industrial automation cells.

This motor delivers a continuous stall torque of 0.6 Nm, providing steady force when the shaft is locked and energized, and it can rise to a peak of 1.62 Nm during acceleration or sudden load changes. The rated shaft speed reaches 5300 rpm, enabling high cycle rates when the rotor is coupled directly or through reduction gearsets. A rotor inertia of only 0.014 kg·m² × 10⁻³ supports quick speed changes with modest drive effort. Torque density is increased by rare-earth samarium cobalt magnets, which maintain strong magnetic flux at elevated temperatures. Position and velocity feedback are produced by a Tachsyn resolver, supplying rotor angle information to the drive amplifier for closed-loop control.

The round frame diameter of 2.0" OD keeps the package compact, and a lamination stack length of 2 inches provides the active copper volume that supports the published torque output. The housing follows the English mounting pattern, which helps the motor fit machines built to inch-based mechanical layouts. Because the motor is supplied without an integral holding brake, external clamping devices must secure vertical loads when power is removed. The motor has no shaft seal, so it should not be installed where it is exposed to direct coolant spray or high-pressure washdowns. A standard winding balances thermal rise with drive voltage, and the feedback assembly has no secondary channel, which helps keep the wiring arrangement simple.
