The R22GENA-R1-NS-NV-02 is one of the highest qualities and most cost-effective motors that money can buy. As a member of the R series, it has one of the highest torque-to-inertia ratios in the industry. This is due to the samarium-cobalt permanent magnet that disallows demagnetization. It also has one of the highest dynamic response available today. Furthermore, the 4-pole synchronous servomotors in this series have an anti-cog stator design and are perfect for high speed and position control applications.
What we really need to know about the R22GENA-R1-NS-NV-02 is hidden within its model code number. This is what sets it apart from other motors in the R series.
R, of course, means that the R22GENA-R1-NS-NV-02 is a part of Pacific Scientific’s R series of brushless servo motors. The 2’s which follow speak to the motor OD to the nearest inch and the magnet stack length to the nearest inch respectively.
The G which follows is a representation of the motor’s windings code and the E means that the shaft and mounting are in English. NA means factory preassigned.
Moving along, R1 signifies that the primary feedback is a frameless resolver, that is transmitter type size 15, and then the NS means that there is no secondary feedback.
