The N32HSHK-LNK-NS-02 step motor has a hybrid construction with an IP 65 protection rating. The hybrid motor is equipped with two rotor stacks. This product from Pacific Scientific generates both torque producing flux and non-torque producing flux. It experiences some leakage of flux during operation. The acceleration boost offered by the unit combined with special rotor design assists in fast movement and positioning of loads. The device has a special construction style. The motor has a more linear torque than other hybrids when a current more than its rated current is applied. There is less chance of demagnetization when the current level is more than the rated current.

The step motor has a current rating of 5A per phase. The device can function without a heatsink when it is operated in the ambient temperature range.
