The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05 is manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the Powermax II P stepper motor series. It features a thermal resistance of 4.5 Mounted °C/Watt and rotor intertia of 0.025(kg-m²x10¯³). These are the most powerful stepper motors with a holding torque of 1.51 Nm and a detent torque of 0.12 Nm.

The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05 is a NEMA 23 stepper motor that delivers high quality performance despite its small size and economical design. The motor comes with a rear shaft extension option and its shaft has the largest diameter among NEMA 23 motors. Besides, specially designed, oversized bearings are used for this model. Because of a 6.3 mm shaft diameter and a 30 mm bearing size, the motor can sustain an increased number of cyclic loading cycles and the shaft can sustain more axial loading. This increases the motor’s power transfer capacity and extends its operational life. This motor has the highest dynamic over short distances. A low rotor inertia allows the motor to operate in highly dynamic environments where rapid acceleration rates are needed over long distances. The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05 has a greater amount of available torque because of the Sigmax Technology.

The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05 has an octagonal housing and comes with an 8-pole connector in its standard configuration. This model has a complete 1.8 ᵒ step angle. This stepper has a 1.5 Nm holding torque with a 1.13 kg weight. This model has exposed laminations for effective heat transfer. This results in improved thermal dissipation that reduces downtimes and extends the motor’s operational life. 074 46 The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05 has 4.6 A rated current per winding and each winding has a 2.1 mH inductance. The motor has a fully encapsulated stator and its armature has been insulated with class B insulation material that can sustain temperatures up to 212 ᵒ F. The P22NSXB-LNN-NS-05’s thermal dissipation is also increased because the stator is encapsulated using polymer.
