Product Description:
The P22NRXB-LDN-M1-00 is a two-phase stepper motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the POWERMAX II P Motors series. Designed for general industrial automation, it translates pulse sequences into incremental rotation, allowing open-loop positioning of small actuators, indexing tables, or conveyor sections. The rotor advances 1.8 degrees per command, yielding 200 steps per revolution, and the encoder mounting provision allows feedback to be added when greater accuracy is required.
When both phases are energized, the motor produces a holding torque of 1.51 N·m, while its detent torque is limited to 0.05 N·m so the shaft can be indexed manually during setup. Two stator stacks and a B-type winding give the unit the electromagnetic depth needed to carry the rated phase current of 4.6 A. Each coil presents a resistance of 0.76 Ω and an inductance of 2.1 mH, which determine the necessary drive voltage and chopping frequency. The lightweight rotor has an inertia of 0.000025 kg·m², allowing fast acceleration while keeping settling times within the ±1.5% step accuracy range.
The frame conforms to the NEMA 23 outline, and the body has a length of 78.8 mm, producing a compact profile that weighs 1.13 kg. A double, smooth shaft with a diameter of 6.35 mm extends 20.60 mm on the drive side, while the encoder end provides a 19.05 mm extension for direct sensor coupling. The enclosure has an IP23 protection rating, and the Class B insulation system withstands 130 °C with a test strength of 340 Vdc and an insulation resistance of 100 megohms. The motor operates from -20 °C to +40 °C. Its standard construction includes regular lead wires terminated in a receptacle, and the NEMA mounting style supports installation in two-phase control systems.
