Product Description:
The Powermax II series are an impressive part of the Pacific Scientifc production line for stepper motors. In line with the NEMA sizing for stepper motors, they offer the best performance within the NEMA 23 size category. The P22NRXA-LSF-NS-02 belongs to the Powermax II P-series, which is a hybrid construction that offers specific advantages in the way of customization.
Being a Powermax motor, the P22NRXA-LSF-NS-02 comes in the standard NEMA 23 frame size and is also fitted with a standard NEMA mount. Weighing at 1.13kg, it features a regular construction/design (for a Powermax motor) and is equipped with two full rotor stacks and an integrated mating lead receptacle for electrical connections. A stepper motor’s mechanical performance being characterized by its winding type, the P22NRXA-LSF-NS-02 has a winding code with the ‘A’ designation, and this winding can be connected either in series, parallel or unipolar to achieve specific performance boosts or low. This motor has a holding torque capacity of 1.39Nm in both series and parallel connections, but 0.98Nm for the unipolar; however, the torque trade-off offers more speed for the unipolar. To prevent unwanted rotations, it has a detent torque of 0.049Nm which also helps during deceleration. For the electrical properties of this motor, it has a maximum rated phase current capacity of 6.5A achievable with the parallel winding. For the others, it can produce 3.3A and 4.6A for the series and unipolar connections respectively. This is a standard rotor motor with a flat and specially configured shaft. With no option for feedback via an encoder, this motor still offers an option for applications that require precise movements with minimal control requirements.
With the allowance for factory assigned customization (due to its ’02’ sequence number), this motor offers improved versatility across industrial applications.
