Product Description:
The P21NRXA-LNF-NS-00 is a hybrid stepper motor built by Pacific Scientific for the POWERMAX II P Motors series. It is intended for motion stages where incremental rotation must be translated into accurate linear travel or indexed movement. By receiving commanded step pulses from a drive, the unit supplies fixed angular increments to actuators in assembly, packaging, and electronics equipment. This operating method supports repeatable point-to-point motion where predictable shaft movement is required.
Mechanically, the motor uses a NEMA 23 frame and has a compact housing suited to standard brackets and gearheads. Its standard construction includes a single stack, a standard rotor, and a single flat-ended shaft, while the regular leadwire connection exits through a receptacle. A holding torque of 0.81 Nm helps keep loads stationary between pulses, and the rated winding current is 5.6 A. The A-type windings have low resistance and an inductance of 0.8 mH, which affects how quickly current rises in the winding. Electrical design provides 200 discrete positions per revolution from a 1.8-degree step angle, with step accuracy held to ±1.5%.
When power is removed, the motor has a detent torque of 0.03 Nm, which helps limit unwanted shaft movement without creating excessive cogging. Rotor inertia is 0.000012 kg·m², supporting quick acceleration in applications that benefit from a low-inertia drive element. Continuous duty is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C, and the insulation system is rated to Class B, 130 °C. Insulation resistance is 100 MΩ, and dielectric withstand is 340 Vdc. No encoder is fitted, so any required feedback must be provided by an external device.
