The M22NSXA-LDN-M1-02 stepper motor is built by Pacific Scientific within the POWERMAX II M Motors series. Enhanced construction and a NEMA 23 frame allow this two-phase motor to deliver consistent incremental motion in indexing tables, pick-and-place units, and small gantries. Its double smooth shaft supports couplings at either end, while an internal "A" winding layout works with standard unipolar or bipolar drive schemes. With a standard rotor and two magnetic stacks, the motor provides open-loop positioning without feedback and includes a threaded provision for an encoder when closed-loop operation is required.
The motor has a step angle of 1.8 degrees, so one full revolution is divided into 200 discrete steps. Its ±1.5% step accuracy keeps cumulative error inside tight tolerance bands for moderate travel lengths.
