Product Description:
The M22NSHB-LNN-NS-02 is a two-phase hybrid stepper motor built by Pacific Scientific for the POWERMAX II M Motors series. With NEMA mounting, the motor produces discrete angular increments so motion controllers can index loads without a feedback device. In automated pick-and-place stages, small packaging machines, or light conveyor drives, it converts drive current into predictable torque while remaining compatible with off-the-shelf microstepping drives.
With a frame size of NEMA 23, the unit fits the common 57 mm square footprint used in compact mechanical assemblies. Its static holding torque reaches 1.79 Nm, which is enough to maintain position against modest process forces when the coils are energized. Each winding draws a rated current of 4.6 A and has a resistance of 0.38 Ω and an inductance of 1.7 mH, allowing the motor to respond quickly to full-step or microstep commands. The rotor advances in precise 1.8° increments, and one full shaft revolution requires 200 commanded steps. With a step accuracy of ±1.5% and a low rotor inertia of 0.025 × 10⁻³ kg-m², the motor supports rapid acceleration and dependable positional repeatability in motion-control applications.
The motor tolerates axial forces up to 58 N and radial side loads up to 89 N when operated at 1500 rpm, helping protect the bearings during belt tensioning or gear coupling. Continuous service is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C, supported by a thermal resistance of 4.5 °C/W and Class B insulation that withstands a winding temperature of 130 °C and has a dielectric rating of 340 VDC. An insulation resistance of 100 megohms minimizes leakage current in humid factories. The smooth, single-ended shaft simplifies clutch or pulley attachment, and the four-lead connection supports bipolar drive schemes. The motor has a total mass of 1.13 kg, which helps keep stage inertia low when it is mounted on moving carriages.
