Product Description:
The M22NRXB-LSN-NS-03 is a hybrid stepper motor produced by Pacific Scientific as part of the POWERMAX II M Motors series. It converts pulse commands from a drive into incremental rotary motion, making it suitable for pick-and-place tooling, small conveyors, and indexing fixtures within automated equipment. The motor supplies discrete motion steps without internal feedback, supporting straightforward open-loop positioning in systems where the commanded movement remains within the available torque range.
The frame conforms to NEMA 23 dimensions, and the windings follow type B coding for the applicable current and resistance values. Class B insulation rated at 130 °C protects the winding material from heat generated during operation. An insulation resistance of 100 megohms at ambient temperature minimizes electrical leakage to ground. During high-potential testing, the winding system withstands 340 VDC without insulation breakdown. The motor is wound for two phases, allowing standard bipolar or unipolar drives to excite the coils in the required sequence. Its enhanced construction improves thermal dissipation during repeated acceleration and holding cycles. The regular lead wire connection exits through a receptacle, providing an accessible interface for the motor wiring.
The smooth shaft supports an axial thrust of up to 58 N and a radial side load of up to 89 N without shortening the expected bearing life. Each commanded step advances the rotor by 1.8 degrees, providing 200 full steps per revolution with a step accuracy of ±1.5%. This accuracy helps maintain consistent positioning during repeated indexing movements. Two rotor stacks produce the required holding torque, while the standard rotor profile keeps rotational inertia moderate for responsive starts and stops. The motor operates within a temperature range of -20 °C to +40 °C, allowing installation in control cabinets or exposed machine locations that remain within those limits. Its mounting face accommodates the corresponding machine attachment points without requiring a separate adapter plate.
