The M22NRXB-LDN-NS-00 is a two-stack hybrid stepper motor produced by Pacific Scientific as part of the POWERMAX II M Motors series. Supplied without a feedback device, it converts discrete pulse commands from an indexer or drive into controlled angular motion for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, or metering pumps in automated equipment. By combining a standard rotor with enhanced construction, the unit delivers incremental rotation for open-loop motion tasks.
Its rated holding torque of 1.79 Nm allows the shaft to maintain position against external loads when power is applied, while a detent torque of 0.12 Nm is the residual resistance felt in an unenergized state. Motion is set by a step angle of 1.8 degrees, produced by 200 internal magnetic teeth and translated into smooth microstepping by the drive. To generate this torque, the motor draws 4.6 A per phase through type-B windings with 0.76 Ω resistance and 1.7 mH inductance. Step accuracy is held within ±1.5% because of tight air-gap tolerances. The two laminated stacks and a rotor inertia of 0.025 × 10⁻³ kg·m² balance rapid acceleration with settling accuracy. A compact 78.8 mm case length and the NEMA 23 frame follow standard mounting practice, and a single receptacle provides the leadwire connection.
The motor has an IP23 enclosure rating, so ventilation openings remain exposed to air while helping prevent contact with fingers and larger debris. Coil insulation withstands 340 Vdc and provides 100 Megohms of resistance to ground during hi-pot testing, and the Class B insulation system supports thermal durability. Continuous service is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C, aided by a thermal resistance of 4.5 °C/W that transfers losses to the housing. With 200 steps per revolution and a smooth double shaft, the motor can couple encoders, gears, or loads on either end while the 1.13 kg mass keeps overhung loads low.
