Product Description:
The M21NRXA-LSN-M1-02 is a two-phase stepper motor produced by Pacific Scientific for the POWERMAX II M Motors series. It positions mechanical loads by advancing the shaft in fixed increments whenever the drive issues a control pulse, making it suitable for pick-and-place units, indexing tables, and automated valves. Because it features enhanced construction and a standard lead-wire connection, the motor provides consistent performance while fitting standard NEMA mounting layouts in existing motion axes.
Static load capacity begins with a holding torque of 1.00 N·m, which is the maximum angular resistance the energized motor can provide at standstill. When the coils are de-energized, the shaft still presents a detent torque of 0.066 N·m, produced by the permanent-magnet rotor. Dynamic responsiveness depends on a rotor inertia of 0.00001186 kg·m², allowing rapid acceleration without excessive drive current. The motor supports an axial shaft load of 58 N and a radial load of 89 N, so couplings and belt tensions must remain within these limits to avoid bearing damage during operation.
The frame follows the NEMA 23 footprint with a 66.67 mm bolt circle and a 38.1 mm pilot, making it compatible with common gearheads and machine plates. The body has an overall length of 52.3 mm, supporting installation where mounting depth is restricted. Each command pulse advances the rotor by 1.8 degrees, yielding exactly 200 full-step positions per revolution with a step accuracy of ±1.5%. Class B insulation is rated for 130 °C, while the insulation resistance is 100 MΩ and the permitted operating temperature ranges from −20 °C to +40 °C. The smooth shaft facilitates direct coupling to precision loads, and the encoder-mounting provision allows the addition of a compatible feedback device.
