Product Description:

The M21NRXA-JDS-NS-02 is just the hybrid stepper motor you have been looking for. This part comes to you from renowned manufacturer Pacific Scientific and features their patented and top of the line SIGMAX Technology. This is not your basic hybrid stepper motor; it is from the M series making this an enhanced hybrid stepper with the ability to optimize torque productions while redirecting any magnetic flux so that leakage is inhibited.

This step motor, being a hybrid provides a combination of a permanent magnet motor and a variable reluctance motor. This hybrid stepper motor’s rotor is magnetized axially like that of a permanent magnet stepper motor.  While at the same time, the stator of the M21NRXA-JDS-NS-02 is energized electromagnetically like that of a variable reluctance stepper motor.

This hybrid stepper motor features a new polymer stator which is encapsulated, and features end bells made with threaded inserts that are also created from a new polymer. The M21NRXA-JDS-NS-02 boasts the largest shaft diameter available for a stepper; a NEMA 23 with standard encoder from Agilent Technologies in the HEDS 5600 series. This powerful motor is efficient and reliable as it uses high-performance gearheads to ensure top quality output over the lifetime of the unit.

The part future features oversized bearings measuring 30 mm with the patented Sigmax technology from Pacific Scientific. The unit allows for the flexibility of adding an optional low inertia rotor or an optional solid rotor along with its assigned precision ground rotor. As an economical motor, this features Honed Stator ID and OD for a concentric air gap. Thermal dissipation is made possible thanks to the way the lamination aids are designed exposed to allow for external cooling.
