The PMA line of servomotors from Kollmorgen manufacturing are built for larger tolerance, and applications requiring extra ruggedness. They are relatively cost-effective -- without sacrificing quality, and highly customizable; a common attribute of the Kollmorgen brand of servomotors.

Since the PMA21B-00100-00 is inclusive of this line of brushless AC servo motors, it is well-optimized in terms of specifications and physical construction to offer the options earlier described. To ensure strict compliance with operating specifications, each servomotor model is assigned a compatible servo drive. For the PMA21B-00100-00, it is assigned the SC902-AN-001-01 and SCE902-AN-001-01 servo drives also produced by Kollmorgen. With any of these drives, the PMA21B-00100-00 operates with an input voltage of 240V AC at maximum. Coupled with the drive, it can deliver a continuous standstill torque of 0.63Nm. Its nominal torque capacity is 0.50Nm at the rated speed of 6,050 rpm. At a maximum, this motor can run up to 9,250 rpm under no-loads operation. The maximum possible torque for this motor is 1.9Nm which can also be obtained at standstill. To achieve the maximum torque, this motor requires a current of 5.4A: which can also be considered as its maximum permissible current capacity. In terms of physical dimensions and customizations, this motor weighs 1.5kg, has a square frame of 70mm with a single stack length. Based on its ‘B’-type winding, it has a nominal stall current rating of 2.7A. This motor comes with a Smooth Shaft according to DIN42955 N, no holding brake, and a right-angle-type, standard 6 pole-power and 12 Pole Sensor (0-degree code) connector. It uses a standard alignment resolver for feedback and is an overall standard-type servomotor.
