Product Description:
The PMA57R-10100-00 is a brushless servomotor produced by Pacific Scientific within the PMA Brushless Motors series. As a permanent-magnet synchronous unit, it converts electrical power from a matched drive into controlled torque and speed for positioning axes, indexing tables, and other motion loops used in automated machinery. Integrated feedback allows the control system to track rotor position throughout the operating range and correct speed error as the load changes.
This model delivers a continuous stall torque of 22.0 Nm, so it can maintain that output when proper cooling is available, and it can reach a peak torque of 69.0 Nm during acceleration or other short transient events. To produce these torque levels, the windings draw up to 11.0 ARMS at stall and operate within the 240–480 V AC drive voltage class. Dynamic response is influenced by a rotor inertia of 4.21 × 10−3 kg·m², which supports stable speed regulation while still allowing responsive acceleration. Cabling exits the housing through a right-angle power and feedback connector set, which helps when clearance is limited near panels, brackets, or adjacent machine parts.
The square frame measures 142 mm across the mounting face, giving the motor a compact footprint for its output class. Overall mass is 19.0 kg, which should be considered when the motor is mounted on moving assemblies or support structures. Position data is provided by a resolver, which supplies analog sine-cosine feedback that remains reliable in high-power environments. Mechanical coupling uses a closed keyway shaft with the key installed from the factory, and the stack length is 7 in the series code. The motor also includes a 6-pin 6PP power connector and is supplied without a brake, so back-drive prevention must be handled by the machine.
