The PMA55Q-10100-00 brushless servomotor is manufactured by Pacific Scientific and is part of the PMA Brushless Motors series. This AC machine couples a permanent-magnet rotor with resolver feedback to deliver precise torque and speed control for pick-and-place axes, printing cylinders, and other automated loads. Electronic commutation eliminates brush wear at the motor and supports smooth response across repeated start-stop cycles.

It is supplied without a holding brake, so stopping torque must be provided by the drive or external mechanics. During stall conditions, the motor can exert 17.0 Nm continuously and up to 51.5 Nm for short-term demand. The rotor inertia is 3.06 kg·m² × 10⁻³, which affects acceleration response and servo tuning.
