The PMA44P-10100-00 is a brushless servomotor manufactured by Pacific Scientific within the PMA Brushless Motors series. Designed for closed-loop position and speed control in automated machinery, the unit converts drive current into precise rotary motion without the maintenance associated with motor brushes. Its responsive operation supports conveyor indexing, packaging axes, and other applications that require consistent torque during rapid changes in speed or position. Resolver feedback allows the connected drive to monitor rotor position and correct motion as operating loads change.
At stall, the shaft can continuously deliver 8.2 Nm, indicating the static load that the windings can sustain under rated thermal conditions. For rapid acceleration, the magnetic circuit provides a peak torque of 29.4 Nm, giving the motor additional capacity to overcome friction or short inertial surges. These torque levels are achieved with a nominal stall current of 5.4 A RMS, so the connected drive must supply that current without excessive ripple. The stator is wound for the 240–480 V AC class, allowing operation with common industrial bus voltages. A rotor inertia of 0.68 × 10⁻³ kg·m² supports fast speed changes while maintaining mechanical stability during positioning cycles.
