Product Description:
The PMA43F-10Y0B-09 is a brushless servo motor produced by Pacific Scientific for the PMA Brushless Motors series. As a permanent-magnet, three-phase actuator, it converts electrical power from matched servo drives into controlled rotary motion for industrial automation axes that require precise velocity and position regulation. This type of motor is commonly used in closed-loop motion systems, where the drive corrects speed and position errors as load conditions change. Its brushless design also supports smooth torque production during repeated starts, stops, and speed changes in packaging, material-handling, and light machine-tool equipment.
The F-frame motor develops a continuous stall torque of 6.1 Nm, allowing it to hold load torque indefinitely under rated cooling. For short-duty acceleration, the electromagnetic system can reach a peak torque of 21.7 Nm, giving the motor strong overload capacity during brief motion events. The stator winding draws a nominal stall current of 11.0 ARMS, so the selected drive must supply that amount of phase current without clipping. Rotor inertia is maintained at 0.52 × 10⁻³ kg·m², which helps the axis respond quickly to command changes and reduces stored kinetic energy. Electrical insulation is rated for supply voltages up to 240 V AC max, which suits common mid-voltage servo amplifiers used on factory lines.
With a square frame dimension of 115 mm, the unit fits directly onto standard IEC or NEMA mounting patterns, and its 7.6 kg mass helps keep supporting structures stable during rapid motion. The square housing also provides a rigid mounting surface for machine plates and bracketed drive assemblies. The output shaft uses a closed keyway with a fitted key, allowing torque transfer to couplings or pulleys without slip. The internal lamination stack uses length code 3, which provides a compact motor body with suitable thermal capacity for this frame. Because the motor is supplied without an integral brake, any static holding requirement must be handled by the drive or an external mechanical lock.
