As a permanent-magnet AC unit, it converts electrical energy supplied by a drive into controlled rotary motion for positioning, indexing, and speed-regulation tasks in automated machinery. Its smooth shaft couples directly to gearheads or load hubs, and the integrated resolver sends rotor position data to the controller for precise closed-loop operation. That feedback arrangement helps the controller maintain accurate velocity and position during changing load conditions.

This model has a 24 V brake that clamps the shaft when power is removed, allowing vertical axes to hold a load without external locks.
