The PMA42M-10100-00 is a brushless servo motor built by Pacific Scientific for the PMA Brushless Motors series. It is a PMA brushless servomotor that converts electrical power into controlled rotary motion for industrial positioning tasks. A resolver inside the housing supplies continuous feedback to the drive, helping the control loop maintain stable speed and position during changing loads. The unit is shipped without an integrated brake, so a stopped axis must be secured by the drive or by external holding hardware when power is removed.

The motor delivers a continuous stall torque of 4.1 Nm, allowing it to hold a steady load without overheating. For short acceleration bursts, it can reach a peak torque of 14.6 Nm, which provides added margin for rapid indexing or breakaway from static friction. Dynamic response is influenced by a rotor inertia of 0.36 kg·m² × 10⁻³, a value that supports responsive motion while helping smooth small load changes. The windings draw a nominal stall current of 2.7 ARMS, which is used when matching the motor to the drive amplifier. The coils are rated for a winding voltage class of 240–480 V AC, making the motor suitable for industrial servo systems in that supply range.
