Kollmorgen servomotors are generally regarded for their high quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness; however, the PMA-series of servomotors from Kollmorgen take it up a notch with their wide voltage range, rugged construction, and increased versatility across applications for industrial automation.
The PMA22B-01100-00 belongs to the PMA line, as indicated by its ‘A’ product series code, and it is a brushless-type AC servomotor. It features a standard design, with no extra customizations. The frame size is 70mm (square frame), with a maximum motor length of 170mm. It weighs 2.1kg but can offer a rotor moment of inertia of up to 44Kgm2. It has two rotor stacks and a winding type designated by the ‘B’ tag. This winding type allows voltage capacity of up to 240V and a nominal stall current of 2.7A. It is equipped with a smooth shaft type, designed according to DIN42955 N, and features a 24V holding brake. This holding brake offers a holding torque of 1.2m, an extra moment of inertia of 0.12Kgcm2. For efficient mechanical performance, this motor is recommended to be matched with a compatible Kollmorgen servo-drive: either the SC902-AN-001-01 or SC902-AN-001-01 servo drive model. If operated with either drive, this servomotor is guaranteed to deliver a continuous stall torque of 1.3Nm, and a rated torque of 1Nm. The rated torque is obtainable under continuous full-load operation at the rated speed of 5,750 rpm. For maximum capacities, this servomotor can allow a current of 5.4A, with which it can intermittently generate a maximum torque of 2.6Nm at stall or at the rated speed. Also, maximum no-load speed of this motor is at 7,100.
Finally, the PMA22B-01100-00 comes with a right-angle type standard connector (6 pole-power, 12 pole-sensor with 0-degree code), a standard alignment resolver sensor for feedback, and is CE compliant.
