The PMA22B-00100-00 brushless servomotor is produced by Pacific Scientific within the PMA Brushless Motors series. It is intended for precise speed and position control on automated axes used in packaging, material handling, and general-purpose machinery. By combining permanent-magnet excitation with electronic commutation, the motor supplies regulated torque without brushes. That arrangement supports repeatable motion on axes that start, stop, and reverse frequently. Integrated rotor position feedback supports closed-loop operation with compatible drive amplifiers.
At its thermal limit, the motor sustains 1.3 Nm of continuous stall torque. During rapid indexing, it can reach 4.7 Nm of peak torque for brief intervals. These outputs require a winding stall current of 2.7 ARMS, so the companion drive must supply that current at standstill. With a rotor inertia of 0.038×10⁻³ kg·m², the rotor spins up quickly, which helps reduce settling time in tight position loops.
