The SR3658-2255-7-56B is a continuous duty DC motor by Kollmorgen with SCR rating in its SR series. The permanent magnets in the motor make it really efficient, lightweight and compact at the same time. The motor operates at a speed of 1,800 RPM. It also features 1HP power rating, 4.5A current rating and 180VDC current rating. The motor comes with a factory assigned enclosure of 56B type NEMA frame size. It can be used in various sectors like robotics, pharmaceutical manufacturing, oil & gas, printing, packaging & converting and more for a wide range of applications. The motor meets high quality and high performance requirements in space, submarines, laser eye surgery, surgical robots, artificial hearts, ships and O&G metrology and drilling.

The continuous-duty motor has a rugged construction that makes it dependable every time. The motor comes with a warranty period of two years from the manufacturer. The patented anti-cogging magnets make sure that the motor is capable of operating smoothly even at low speed. A few other highlights of the unit are dynamic braking without demagnetization and high overcurrent capacity. The Class H insulated motor complies with various standards and is UL Recognized, CSA Certified and CE Marked.

The DC motor has a NEMA C face TENV non-vented configuration with a rugged and fused commutator, standard large sealed bearings and a polyester impregnated armature.  The base of the enclosure can be removed depending on the requirement or application. The armature offers very high mechanical and electrical integrity. The motor also features constant force brush springs with long life and field-replaceable brushes. Apart from permanent magnet DC motors, Kollenmorgen has different types of motors like direct-drive servo motors, classic servo motors and stepper motors, as well as amplifiers, drives and multi-axis and CNC  motion controllers to its credit.
