Product Description:

The SR3642-4822-7-56HC-CU is a continuous duty DC motor from Kollmorgen that is a pioneer in the field of manufacturing automation motors. The SR series motor comes with a NEMA C face that has a removable base. The unit also features a factory assigned non-vented TENV style enclosure configuration and a 56C frame. It has an operating speed of 1,750 RPM. The choice of permanent magnets instead of a wound field design makes the device very compact, light and efficient because the magnets are small and lightweight. This also ensures a linear speed/torque curve.

The SCR rated DC motor features rugged and quality construction along with reliability of operation. The motor features 4.7A continuous current rating, 0.5HP power rating and 90VDC voltage rating. It also supports 18lb-in continuous torque, 74A peak current, 4.2lb-in/A torque constant and 6.54.2lb-in inertia. The unit is fitted with a rugged and fused commutator and standard large sealed bearings that have a very small diameter. The permanent magnets used in designing the device encompass anti-cogging property so that it always ensures smooth low-speed operation. The motor has a high overcurrent capacity and a polyester impregnated armature.

The continuous duty motor comes with four 3/8-16 UNC-2B mounting holes that are spaced at an equal distance from each other for fitting the unit. The motor has an overall size of 12.1 inches, diameter of 6.5 inches and weighs 27lbs. The knockout holes have diameters of 0.62 inches and 0.88 inches. The unit comprises Class H insulation for safety during use. It is also UL Recognized, CE Marked and CSA Certified. The motor is used in various applications such as surgical robots, submarines, ships, space and O&G metrology and drilling to mention just a few. The high-performance unit is backed up with a warranty period of one year from Wake Industrial.
