A DC motor that features poles designed with permanent magnets is called permanent magnet DC motor. The magnet is drastically magnetized and fixed on the inner periphery of the cylindrical steel stator. The motor stator serves as a reoccurrence pathway for the magnetic flux. The rotor features a DC armature with commentator segments and brushes.
In most cases, PMDC motors run on 6, 12, OR 24 Volts DC power supply that comes from rectifiers or batteries. The communication between the magnetic flux created by a permanent magnet and axial current transmitting rotor conductors facilitates the production of the torque.
Note that the influx control technique can't control the speed control of Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) Motor since the flux remains constant in this drive. However, both the motor’s torque and speed can be controlled using armature voltage rheostat, armature rheostat regulator and chopper controller methods. The SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU is a high-performance permanent DC motor that comes with a 56C NEMA Frame and a Current (Amps) of 4.7. The Pacific Scientific SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU provides rugged, high-quality design and reliable operation. The device uses permanent magnets instead of a wound field thus allowing a light, compact and efficient motor. The device features inertia of 6.5, constant torque of 4.2 and current of 74.
The SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU is used in different operations ranging from fractions to multiple horsepowers. The device is designed up to almost 200kW for use in various industries. For instance, the PMDC drives are utilized in automobile applications to run windshield wipers and washers, to operate blowers for air conditioners and heaters and to raise the lower car windows.
