The SR3624-4308-7-48C is a DC drive motor built by Pacific Scientific as part of the Permanent Magnet DC Motors series. Its permanent-magnet DC design removes the need for field windings, which helps reduce electrical losses and keeps the package compact for industrial automation axes that run from a low-voltage supply. The motor uses a brushed construction to deliver steady rotary output for speed-controlled applications such as conveyors, feeders, and metering equipment. A polyester-impregnated armature resists moisture, the fused commutator helps limit segment lift at higher current, and constant-force brush springs help maintain contact pressure during vibration.

The motor is designed for Continuous duty and delivers 1/4 HP of mechanical output when the armature is supplied with 90 VDC. At that operating point, the current is 2.5 A, which supports straightforward matching with a suitable DC speed controller and protective devices. The housing is classified as TENV, so there is no internal fan and heat leaves through the external frame while airborne dust is kept away from internal parts. This enclosure style is useful where airflow inside the machine is limited or where open-vent motor designs would collect debris.

The magnetic circuit uses an Anti-Cog layout, which helps reduce detent torque and improves low-speed smoothness. The SCR-Rated designation indicates compatibility with phase-controlled rectifier outputs commonly used in DC drive systems.
