Product Description:
The BA3632-2145-56BC is a permanent-magnet direct-current motor produced by Pacific Scientific within the Permanent Magnet DC Motors series. It is intended for conveyor sections, small web drives, and indexing tables where a compact, brush-type DC unit supplies continuous torque from a low-voltage source. By combining a laminated stator stack with a skewed armature, the motor delivers stable speed regulation for light-to-medium industrial automation tasks. Its compact cylindrical design also allows it to fit within machinery where available space is limited.
The cylindrical housing has a body diameter of 6.50 in, allowing the motor to fit into tight machine bays while accommodating the 56C frame. A totally enclosed, nonventilated enclosure rated TENV prevents airborne contaminants from entering the interior, making the motor suitable for dusty or lightly splashed areas without an external blower. Power is supplied as low-voltage DC, so speed is varied by adjusting armature voltage rather than line frequency. At the rated armature setting, the shaft reaches 1750 rpm, a common base speed that works with many standard gear ratios. A NEMA C mounting face mates with reducers or pump heads and supports accurate alignment between the motor and driven equipment.
The output shaft measures 0.6250 in in diameter and is supported by double-shielded bearings that accommodate overhung belt loads. Accurate centering against the driven equipment is provided by a face register of 4.500 in, while the NEMA C pilot helps keep radial runout low during assembly. Four threaded holes on a 5.875 in circle accept mounting bolts that engage the front plate with a thread size of 3/8-16 UNC-2B. A removable base permits either foot or face mounting without additional brackets, and the four-hole pattern supports vertical or horizontal motor positioning. Torque is transferred through a 0.188-by-1.38-inch keyway, which provides positive engagement between the shaft and a compatible coupling sleeve. The bearing arrangement supports stable shaft rotation under radial loading from pulleys and other connected components.
