The BA3628-7012-1-56BC is a permanent-magnet DC motor produced by Pacific Scientific as part of its Permanent Magnet DC Motors series. It is intended for low-voltage industrial automation where a compact rotary actuator must deliver stable speed regulation from a direct-current source. By converting electrical energy from a 24-volt bus into mechanical shaft rotation, the unit provides a sealed drive element for conveyors, indexing tables, and other motion stages that cannot accommodate larger AC gearmotors.
This model is designed for a nominal supply of 24 VDC, and at that line it draws up to 20 A during rated load. Output power reaches 1/2 HP, and the armature is wound so that the shaft maintains 1800 RPM under the stated torque. Continuous thermal dissipation is helped by a TENV housing, meaning totally enclosed nonventilated construction that blocks airborne contaminants and relies on surface radiation instead of forced airflow. The motor bolts directly to gear reducers or pump heads through a NEMA C-face interface, which helps maintain accurate alignment between the motor and driven equipment.
