Product Description:
The PCE843-001-N is an advanced Single Axis Brushless Servo Drive produced by Pacific Scientific for automation motor control in industrial protection and processing applications. As an IP20 device, this controller should be mounted vertically inside a control cabinet able to provide reliable protection that meets at least the IP54 protection category. It should also be connected to a protective earth ground to prevent overheating. The power supply network required by this product for optimum operation is a three-phase; the unit should be supplied with a voltage that falls between 380 and about 480 volts. The housing frame of this unit is up to 40 per cent smaller than conventional controllers. This smaller footprint makes it the ideal product for applications where there is limited installation space.
The PCE843-001-N controller unit is able to operate with both stop, and analog commands, it also features Pacific Scientific patented Digital Resolver to Digital Conversion algorithm which provides the smallest low-speed performance and allows for an operation accuracy as low as five Arc seconds. There are several input and analogue interfaces present on this product, some of these include three optically isolated outputs, six optically isolated inputs, one relay output, two analogue outputs, and an encoder quadrature output of up to 16,384 pulses per revolution.
The PCE843-001-N features a heatsink through which heat is efficiently dissipated through the natural process of radiation. During operation, the temperature of this heatsink and the housing of the unit itself can reach a peak value of about 70 degrees Celsius. Operators should avoid touching these components to prevent burns. The PCE843-001-N controller is able to detect bus overvoltage and undervoltage during operation. It alerts operators to any error through LEDs that are integrated into its front panel.
