The PCE835-001-N is a Pacific Scientific servo drive manufactured to provide velocity, position, and torque control of brushless motor units. The drive is an IP20 product that is built to be mounted vertically inside a control cabinet on a flat, solid and electrically conductive mounting surface. It should also be protected from extreme vibrations and shocks during its operation. Only balanced three-phase mains should be connected to this servo drive; the drive should also be properly earthed to prevent electrical accidents that can be caused by the overheating of the unit. The average input voltage required by this product during operation is between 380 to about 480 volts. This voltage should be through a three-phase interface at a frequency that is between 50 to 60 hertz. The output current of this product is about 15.5 amperes.
During the installation and wiring of the PCE835-001-N, it is recommended that only Pacific Scientific cables are used with it. These cables have already been tested and characterized with this drive. Although third-party cables can also be used, this poses significant risks as the drive performance or reliability may be adversely affected, and the motor power cable installation may degrade and fail over time.
