Product Description:

The PC844-001-N is a PC800 series servo drive from Pacific Scientific that is built to support feedback via resolver and RS-422 differential encoder. Its resolver excitation is rated at 9.2 Vrms at 6510.42 Hz and it includes DAC monitor outputs that are mapped to internal parameters. This drive works over a maximum cable length 50 meters and its mounting altitude is up to 1500 meters.

The PC844-001-N drive delivers a peak output of 21.2 Arms for 5 seconds and its continuous output is rated as 10.6 Arms with forced air cooling, while in convection cooling mode it supplies 7.1 Arms continuously. Its peak output power capacity is up to 9.0 kW and it supports 3-phase motor connections with U, V, W outputs. This unit has a power stage efficiency of 98% and its ripple frequency is fixed at 16 kHz for stable motor current. It accepts 180–265 VAC input for motor power and it can operate from 85 - 265 VAC for control power. The supported input frequency range is 47 to 440 Hz and its bus capacitor can absorb up to 40 joules of energy. The PC844 drive supports an external regen resistor of 12.5 Ohms at 200W and its shunt regulator limits are 12.8 kW peak along with 800 W continuous. It features inrush current control up to 300 A for 2 ms and requires a 30.0 A slow-blow fuse for protection.

The PC844-001-N drive possess an analog input command range of ±13.5 V and it accepts RS-232/RS-485 digital command interfaces, while comes with six optically isolated digital inputs. The unit’s position resolution is 0.00001526 revolutions per count and it supports ±4500 revolutions of position error range. Its internal position loop updates at a 1 ms interval and the current loop updates every 62.5 microseconds.
