Product Description:

Introduced by Pacific Scientific, the PC844-001-F servo drive is a brushless drive. This drive has different types of connectors to support its connection. The product incorporates SERCOS functionality. This device has a 13-position terminal strip that serves as a power board. The unit's SW4 switch can be used to select the fiber optic light intensity and SERCOS baud rate. It supports four different baud rates. This drive is assigned a unique serial address.

The product has two terminals for establishing a connection between the 120/240 VAC power supplied by the user and the control voltage power supply of the drive. This device's J1 serial port is used to establish a connection with a PC using a 6-foot RS-232 cable. The unit comprises two analog commands that function as a differential input. Its analog outputs have an output range of +/-5.5 V. This drive's optically isolated I/O connections are discrete 24 V inputs and can be programmed by the user. The unit's resolver inputs are active only if a resolver is used for feedback. It has three digital user-mappable outputs and six digital user-mappable inputs.

The servo drive performs position latching during its probing and registration. This product supports current, position, and velocity loops. The device puts a couple of digital anti-resonance filters into use in the velocity loop. This unit may experience some backlash when gear reduction is deployed. It is designed without any customization and belongs to the PC8 family of servo drives and is associated with multiple IDNs.
