Product Description:

The PC843-XYZ-F is a lightweight and efficient servo drive streamlined for Pacific Scientific’s brushless servo machines and motors. With dedicated terminal blocks for feedback, commands, motor, and serial communication, this compact electrical drive is ideal for innovative servo systems and applications. Like most PC800 drives, this unit supports both RS-232 and RS-485 serial communication protocols. Furthermore, it can also facilitate SERCOS communication with a baud rate ranging from 2 Mbaud to 16 Mbaud. Since this device is optimized for space-saving applications, it mainly relies on natural air convection to lower its surface and internal temperature during operation.

Pacific Scientific’s official documentation for the PC843-XYZ-F recommends a typical ambient temperature range of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius during operation. Alongside an appropriate computer drive module, this automation product can reliably monitor, process, and control motor output parameters. To establish the connection with other controller units that issue the command signals, the PC843-XYZ-F provides a 44-pin subminiature female connector. As part of the powerful PC800 product series, this special automation tool has a modular construction, making it easy to replace an outdated drive within the production line. Like all other electrical modules released by Pacific Scientific, this tool performs optimally when installed at an altitude not exceeding 1000 m above sea level.

To operate nominally, the PC843-XYZ-F must be connected to an AC power input, having a terminal voltage of 240/120 V. During operation, this drive can tolerate deviations in the AC power input’s frequency between 47 and 63 Hz. Given its chassis construction, it is recommended to install this drive in a well-protected enclosure where it can be shielded from the intrusion of both solid and liquid particles.
