Product Description:

The Pacific Scientific manufactures the PC834-106-N brushless servo drive. It is part of the PC800 high-performance drive line, which is designed for demanding motion control applications. The drive is perfect for accurate motor control, with a variety of electrical and mechanical features that assure consistent performance in a variety of conditions.

The PC834-106-N has a peak power level of 21.2 Arms at 25°C ensures consistent and efficient motor operation. The drive supports many command interfaces, such as RS-232/485, ±10 Vdc, Step/Dir and Indexing. The PC834-106-N adaptability makes it appropriate for a variety of motion control applications. With a voltage input range of 115-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz it works with conventional three-phase AC lines such as Grounded Neutral WYE, Open-Delta Grounded Leg, and TEE. The drive incorporates a Littlefuse FLM 30 for enhanced security. To comply with safety and EMC regulations, the servo drive requires motor cable shielding to be grounded to protected earth (PE). It also has an optional external regen resistor to prevent overvoltage during regenerative braking. The PC834-106-N is engineered with mechanical factors in mind. To ensure safe functioning, it must be mounted vertically in a cabinet on a solid surface that is linked to PE. The unit requires at least 100 mm of space above and below it as well as 40 mm of open space on each side for convection cooling. With a small design the drive measures 198.1 mm in width, 184.91 mm in height and 7.280 inches in depth without connectors.

The PC834-106-N offers high-precision control, with a velocity loop bandwidth of over 400 Hz and a position loop bandwidth of over 100 Hz. Operating temperatures vary from -40°C to 70°C, and humidity tolerance is 10% to 90% non-condensing. It’s I/O architecture enables versatile system integration, with analog and digital inputs and outputs customized to specific requirements. The drive can work at altitudes of up to 1500 meters that makes it suitable for a variety of global applications.
