Wake Industrial LLC is not an authorized distributor of this product.
The Pacific Scientific OCE930-001-00 is part of the OC940 Option Cards series and supports both RS-232 and RS-485 communication links, with compatibility for up to 32 RS-485 nodes. It enables control in torque, velocity, and position modes and accepts command input from analog, incremental digital, or serial sources. The card includes an 8-position DIP address switch, an on-board EEPROM with 100,000 write cycle endurance, and a 9-contact female D-Sub host connector.
Internal Product Review
The OCE930-001-00 is an OC940 option card that functions as a communication card or personality module, with RS-232 and RS-485 communication links. Support for torque, velocity, and position control modes along with analog, incremental digital, and serial command sources gives the module excellent flexibility in motion applications. On-board EEPROM with 100,000 write cycles adds dependable parameter retention, a strong advantage for repeated commissioning work.

Product Description:
The OCE930-001-00 is a communication option card produced by Pacific Scientific for the OC940 Option Cards series. Installed in servo drive racks, it provides a configurable serial and network interface so motion controllers can exchange torque, velocity, or position commands with supervisory PLCs and HMIs across an industrial bus. This role helps integrate drive hardware into broader machine control architectures without requiring a separate external gateway.
An address is selected through an 8-Position DIP switch, allowing the card to be matched to a multi-drop serial network. Data moves across the link at a fixed 9600 Baud, and the hardware supports both RS-232 and RS-485 signaling so cable runs can suit either short local connections or longer network segments. Field wiring terminates on a 9-Contact Female D-Sub connector, and when no switch setting is made, the controller responds to address 255 for initial access.
The auxiliary rail supplies peripherals with +5 VDC, 200 mA maximum, which can power compatible logic devices without a separate supply. Configuration data and accumulated machine parameters are stored in on-board EEPROM, and retention is supported by a durability rating of 100,000 write cycles. Up to 32 nodes can share the bus, so the card can serve either as a standalone communication module or as a personality module that extends drive functionality.
