The OC940-001-01 is an interface option card that provides industry-standard SERCOS fiber optic ring setup and command. This part is manufactured by Pacific Scientific and is designed to help family drives to function with multi-axis system. The command interface on this option card is SERCOS and it has an input/output voltage of between 12 and 20 volts. This is a version 940 interface option card with 8 optically isolated input slots and 8 optically isolated output slots as well.
This part comes from a family of high performing, cost-effective parts that provide medium power. This single-axis servo drive will go well with any brushless 3-phase permanent magnet motors that are equipped with resolvers. The part is designed for OEM applications that are focused on medium to large volume operations. The unit can easily be applied to a number of these types of end-user applications.
This device is equipped with a number of standard industry protection features and a number of leading, state of the art features as well. The software comes preset with all application and system parameters preset. All controls are DSP based and this includes the current loops as well. The 0C940-001-01 features digital auto-tuning which makes set up predictable and super easy. The configuration is easy as well due to modular construction along with a user-removable option.
The 0C940-001-01 interface option card features advanced signature series sinusoidal current control. This helps with low shaft torque ripple at all shaft speeds. This feature also helps with uniform control dynamics. The interface on this unit is an RS-232/48 serial interface along with a fiber optic SERCOS multi-axis interface. Positioning on this unit can be programmed and the personality parameters can be removed.
