Product Description:
Produced by Pacific Scientific, the 6445-001-k-n indexer/micro stepping drive can be powered offline at a voltage rating of 120/240 VAC. This drive delivers low ripple current and excellent current regulation using a four-phase bipolar chopper. The product has 16 inputs and 12 outputs that are user-configurable. This device has low instability at mid-speed ranges because of digital electronic damping. The unit comprises an internal cooling fan. It encompasses an encoder interface for position verification. This drive comprises 12 kB battery-backed RAM to move profiles and store parameters.
The product delivers micro stepping of up to 51,200 steps with each revolution. The device performs stall detection, position verification and correction, and electronic gearing using a quadrature encoder input. This unit is deployed in labeling machines. It features an operating temperature range of 0 degrees C to 50 degrees C. This drive is capable of performing another drive using its 66 VDC connector. The product encompasses multiple LEDs to assist in fault diagnosis. This device weighs 10 lbs. The unit can be mounted only in the upright position. Its AC switch can be accessed by taking off its cover and has a preset position for 230 VAC.
This indexer/micro stepping drive encompasses discrete inputs with a pull-up voltage rating of 5 VDC and a maximum sink current of 50 mA. The product prevents the associated motor from getting overheated with its adjustable idle current reduction function. This device comes with a 3-position DIP switch that is used to adjust the output current from 0.625 A to 5 A. The unit must be kept free of condensation all the time. Its encoder input is connected by using a pluggable screw terminal Phoenix connector.
