Product Description:
The 6410-001-N-H-N micro stepping drive designed by Pacific Scientific controls a two-phase stepper motor. This drive is characterized by mid-band instability compensation. The product offers smooth operation along with high resolution for mid-band and low-speed regions. This device should be used with a motor that has a winding compatible with its output current. The unit gets disabled if a short circuit takes place at the motor outputs. Its output current is selectable by a DIP switch. This drive delivers enhanced current control during a motor braking action.
The product portrays high back EMF rejection when the chopping ripple current is very low. This device helps in eliminating acoustical noise related to choppers by supporting a chopper frequency of close to 20 kHz. The unit supports reversing the polarity of the enable input when plug-on jumpers are used. It is operated in X-Y slides and tables, labeling machines, and robotics. This drive along with a motor, a single power supply, and an indexer form a complete motion control system. The product must not be modified by the user. This device is meant to be checked for physical damage before it is installed. The unit must always be stored in a dry and clean place. It should not be operated without ensuring the earth ground connection of the motor case.
The micro stepping drive should be mounted to a heatsink for optimal thermal performance. The product is equipped with three input/output connectors. This device depends on a jumper plus a DIP switch to set multiple parameters. The unit can operate in low-speed resonance regions when the microstep size is smaller than or equal to 1/4. It must be initially powered up after disconnecting the motor shaft from the load.
