The MPR10 DC power supply unit is manufactured by Okuma as part of the MPS Power Supplies series. It converts incoming three-phase mains into stable DC power for servo drives and spindle inverters used in CNC machining centers and other automated equipment. In that role, it serves as the central link between the plant supply and the motion control bus, allowing multiple drive sections to operate from one power conversion stage. The unit is intended for installations that need dependable bus power as well as separate low-voltage support for control functions.

Its main output is a 300 VDC bus output, which supplies the shared DC link for multiple axis amplifiers. A separate 24 VDC control power channel supports logic circuits and control electronics, so the machine can remain responsive when the high-power section is turned off. With a 10 kW rated capacity, equivalent to an output rating of 13 hp, the module is suited to medium-size turning and milling systems. Input protection uses a 253 Vrms overvoltage trip threshold that disconnects the supply if the incoming line rises above the permitted level. Braking energy is handled internally through a resistor regeneration type design, so regenerated power is dissipated locally instead of being fed back to the utility.

On the front panel, a seven-segment LED status display shows operating and alarm codes without the need for an external interface. The enclosure has a 100 mm width, along with a 325 mm depth and a 380 mm height, which helps it fit standard control cabinet layouts. A weight of 8.0 kg keeps handling manageable during installation while still providing a solid cabinet-mounted form. The unit does not include a Controller ID switch, so setup is managed through the connected CNC control rather than local hardware selection. Heat from the braking resistor remains inside the module area, which helps keep adjacent wiring within normal temperature limits.
